Fazl censures US double standard

PESHAWAR - Chief of Jammiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl), Maulana Fazlur Rahman, has said that United States has adopted contradictory policy in Afghanistan as on one hand they are negotiating with Afghan Taliban while on the other hand asking Pakistan to launch military operation in North Wazirstan Agency. Talking to journalists here on Monday, he said that after a humiliating defeat in Afghanistan, the United States has no capability to open a new front in Pakistan. He said that after the unanimous resolution of the Parliament, America is no more a strategic partners of Pakistan, saying that his party would participate in the upcoming All Party Conference meeting and would mention what were the forces which prevented the implementation of the unanimous resolution of the Parliament. To a question regarding the unification of the religious political parties, Maulana said that it would be a good gesture on the part of the religious political parties, however if the unification process was failed, the JUI is ready to play their due role and stand the nation united against the United States. He said that the policy of Pakistan adopted by the leadership, was against the unanimous resolution of Parliament and that was the reason that the country is confronted with deteriorated law and order situation and economic instability. Meanwhile, in a meeting of the provincial Shoora, Provincial Ameer Sheikh Amanullah rejected Presidential Ordinance regarding FATA and announced to start public awareness campaign in FATA. The meeting also expressed reservations over Act of Civil Power Regulation and has decided to form committee to review the ordinance.
