THE parents of a particularly noisy child have been threatened with a fine of over 7,000 for his unruly antics. Simon and Pippa Lansdell were warned by Hull City Council that they could be forced to pay 7,720 after neighbours complained that their 4-year-old son Alfie was playing too loudly. The couple were issued with a noise abatement notice and told that Alfie may have to be monitored with digital equipment when playing in the garden of their house. The letter was sent out after council workers received an allegation of noise nuisance relating to a child screaming/playing in garden. When I first opened the letter I was shocked, then fuming, Simon told the Daily Express. Alfie can be noisy and boisterous, but he is just a normal 4-year-old. DS
