PESHAWAR - Political Agent Khyber Agency Shehab Ali Shah confirmed the killing of four terrorists who were affiliated with Tehrik-e-Taliban Geedar Group and wanted by police in various attacks on security forces.

Addressing a press conference along with DSP Cantonment Arif Khan, the political agent informed that they had received information that the group is planning attack on security forces in Bara and for this purpose they chalked out a plan to thwart the terror bid. He said that a team of security forces was deployed in the area and a crackdown was launched in Bara area of Khyber Agency on August 14, 2014, which resulted in killing of four terrorists belonging to TTP Geedar group and Lashkar-e-Islam. The killed persons were identified as Jamil alias Jangraiz, Shahidullah alias Hilgay and a commander of Lashkar-e-Islam Raeed.

Earlier identity of the killed terrorists could not be verified but later their blood samples were sent for DNA testing and it was confirmed that the killed persons were belonging to TTP and Lashkar-e-Islam. The killed persons were also involved in bomb attacks on Sifawat Ghayur, Kohati Church and other terror incidents in Peshawar. He alleged that these terrorists were also involved in beheading of SP Rural, attack on PIA plane, attack on Spina Tana, Rashid Garhi suicide blast, attack on DPO Kohat and in various incidents of target killing. He said the head money on these terrorists were four million rupees which would be distributed among the informers secretly. He said that the killing incident was occurred when militants attacked the convoy of security forces however their attack was repulsed and they were targeted in the attack. The dead bodies of the four persons are under the custody of political administration and these dead bodies would be handed over to their heirs.
