ZURMAT- The Taliban militants group publicly executed three people over robbery and kidnapping charges in eastern Paktia province of Afghanistan.

Taliban group spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, said the three individuals were found guilty during a public court hearing. Mujahid claimed that the convicts were publicly executed in Gurji area of Zurmat district.

He said the local residents had filed a complaint against the convicts, alleging that they were involved in kidnapping of people and robbery. The local security officials have not commented regarding the report so far. Paktia is among the volatile provinces in eastern Afghanistan where anti-government armed militant groups including the Taliban militants are active in its remote districts.
