ISLAMABAD (Online) - Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has made it clear that no compromise shall be made on issues relating to the national security. Chairman Joints Chief of Staff Committee Gen Tariq Majeed on Monday met PM Gilani and discussed with him a host of issues relating to the prevailing security situation in the country. Sources told Online that the meeting lasted for quite a while in which issues relating to national security, grave security situation of the country, war against terrorism, matters relating to Army and other affairs linked to it were discussed in depth. Gilani told Gen Majeed that no compromise should be made on issues relating to national security. The PM also told the CJCSC that the government would make sure that defence needs of Pakistan Army were fulfilled. He also discussed war on terrorism with the CJCSC, adding that national consensus was needed to root out this menace. Meanwhile the CJCSC briefed the Premier about Pakistan Armys military operations and preparedness.
