I want to draw attention of authorities to the issue of power management through your letters column. Our country these days is engulfed in crises of all kind but the most irksome and painful of all is that of loadshedding. Pakistan is rich in terms of natural resources but none have been exploited for the benefit of our people and excuses offered for this crime of negligence are often ludicrous. No one in government is ready to take the responsibility of governing and shirk their duty by laying all the blame on previous governments. Time for discussions, visions and plans is long past. It is time to act. We have to show now whether we wish to survive as a prosperous nation or as scums of the earth. Rental Power Projects we do not need. We need to use our own indigenous resources, like the Thar coal, to generate electricity. -HAFSA NAZ, Karachi, April 25.
