ISLAMABAD - Pakistans Armed Forces are committed to secure every inch of the country. These remarks were made by Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Pavez Kayani while addressing the troops taking part in the second phase of Exercise Azm-e-Nau 111 on Tuesday. He witnessed a number of logistic and operational activities of the troops of Northern Command that also included river crossing by the Armour Combat Groups. He appreciated the dedication and professionalism of the participants. Fighter jets of Pakistan Air Force also took part in the Exercise. He appreciated the dedication and professionalism of the participants. He lauded the high morale, professional standard and fighting spirit of the troops. General Kayani said that the Armed Forces would fight for the defence and sovereignty of their motherland. He also added that the measures for enhancing the professional and operational capabilities of the Armed Forces would be taken. Air Chief Marshal, Rao Qamar Suleman, Chief of Air Staff, was also present on the occasion. The second phase of Exercise Azm-e-Nau III started on Sunday. The Exercise will be conducted in Lahore, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Mangla, Jhelum and Kharian till 13th of next month. Over 20,000 troops as well as Pakistan Air Force aircrafts are also taking part in the Exercise.
