LAHORE - Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Liaqat Baloch has urged the chief justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of abduction of JI Gawadar leader Saeed Ahmed Baloch from Karachi and include his name in the missing persons case. Addressing a press conference here at Lahore Press Club on Tuesday, he also demanded the government to take measures for an early recovery of JI Gawadar General Secretary Saeed Baloch who was missing since April 21. Ameer JI Balochistan Abdul Mateen Akhundzada, Secretary General Zahid Akhtar Baloch and JI Information Secretary Anwar Niazi were also present on the occasion. Liaqat Baloch said that the JI has called wheel jam strike in Gawadar on May 1 to protest against abduction of Saeed Baloch. He alleged that the agencies abducted Saeed Baloch from Karachi for raising a voice for the rights of the masses and against illegal allotment of port land. He said that there was serious resentment among Balochs due to improper attitude of the rulers, army, agencies and coastal guards. He urged the rulers to direct agencies to cooperate with courts for recovery of missing persons. He said that all efforts of MQM to get some space in Punjab would fail, as the masses were well aware about its atrocities in Karachi and urban Sindh. He remarked that the MQM was fast losing in Karachi and it could not gain grounds in the Punjab. He said the MQM chief while sitting in London, could not befool the people of Punjab. He expressed hope that the JI would soon regain its lost position in the port city. He urged the government to initiate proceedings against Pervaiz Musharraf for his heinous crimes including the assassination of Sardar Akbar Bugti, Benazir Bhutto, the murder of hundreds of innocent girl students of Jamia Hafsa and the bloodshed at Lal Masjid.
