LAHORE (PPI) - The MCB Bank renewed its pledge to support Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMH) & Research Centre and NAMAL College. Speaking on the occasion of the signing of an MoU between the two organisations, President MCB Bank Limited, Mr. Atif Aslam Bajwa reiterated the banks support in collecting donations and student fees using MCBs Master, Visa and M-net member bank cards. Ten point of sales (POS) each for SKMH & NAMAL for convenience and door to door collection have already been installed with GPRS wireless connection, he added. On this occasion Mr. Raza Mansha, Director MCB also presented a cheque of Rs. 1 million to Mr. Imran Khan on behalf of the Board & Chairman, in line with the banks commitment to progress in the spheres of health and education. Mr. Bajwa praised Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre and said that Mr. Imran Khan is doing a great service to Pakistan by establishing this centre of excellence and providing comprehensive care free of cost to thousands of cancer patients. Mr. Bajwa elaborated that MCB is always working on new and innovative ideas to facilitate its customers and use its technology to help contribute to society. One of these remarkable innovations is MCB mobile, which allows MCB customers to donate to Shaukat Khanum and many other charities in a quick, easy and secure way, anywhere and anytime using their mobile phones. On this occasion, Mr. Imran Khan, founder & chairman SKMH & NAMAL College appreciated Mr. Bajwas support and said that MCBs initiatives would defiantly help SKMH and the patients. He explained that SKMH is one of the leading institutions for free Cancer Treatment in the world and has treated over 80,000 patients.
