THIMPHU (Bhutan) (APP) China on Tuesday agreed with the proposal by Pakistan on trilateral economic cooperation between Pakistan, China and Afghanistan for the economic development of Afghan people. This was agreed in a meeting between Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Chinese Executive Vice Foreign Minister Wang Guangya at Pakistan House in the Bhutanese capital, on the sidelines of 16th Saarc Summit, during which Gilani presented the proposal regarding the trilateral cooperation. The Chinese Vice Foreign Minister assured his full support and cooperation in this regard so that economic conditions of Afghanistan could be improved. The Chinese vice minister while appreciating the passage of 18th Amendment said it would help in promoting the progress and prosperity in the country. Premier Gilani expressed the condolence over the loss of lives in the recent earthquake in China and said Pakistan would be sending tents and blankets to help the victims. The prime minister said both the countries were trustworthy and time-tested friends who helped each other on all difficult occasions.
