Tractors distributed among farmers for agri growth

LAHORE - Pakistan has agriculture-based economy. Agriculture is main growth engine for boosting the economy of Pakistan. This sector has vast opportunities to invest for business community. In this regard, the Punjab Government distributed tractors among the farmers without any discrimination through transparent lucky draw, which will initiate to stabilise the economy from micro to macro level. Provincial Minister for Agriculture Ahmed Ali Aulakh stated this while addressing the business community and government officials during the meeting of FPCCI standing Committee on Cooperatives here on Tuesday. He said that Punjab has vast potential, which needed to be grabbed in all segments. The aim of Chief Minister Punjab to visit China, Iran and Turkey was to develop international linkages for transferring the technology in various sectors of growth and also to attract the investment for strengthening the economy, he added. He also said that the Punjab govt is committed to resolve all the issues of business community on priority basis. He said that the government is seeking assistance of business community to overcome the problems of commerce and industry in all prospective that would help develop consensus to improve the environment for businesses. Acting President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Mian Muhammad Adrees said that only strong interaction between departments can drive to better establishment of organisation him this regard FPCCI always raised the problems of business community to concerned authorities for valuable solution. He further stated the officials of cooperative department must link up with industry and business community to promote the collective wisdom for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
