LAHORE - Employees of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) held protest on 33rd consecutive day on Tuesday in front of the Punjab Assembly demanding regularisation of their services. President All Pakistan Clerk Association (APCA) Punjab Unit and UHS employees joined hands to get their demands accepted. They alleged that Vice-Chancellor UHS Hussain Mubashir Malik was violating the policy set by Punjab chief minister wherein he had asked all institutions running under Punjab government to regularise the services of employees performing their duties on contract basis. They said most of the departments where officials were performing on contract basis had been regularised by their respective heads but said VC was reluctant to do so due to the reasons best known to him. An employee said 115 officials of grade 1 to 15 had been expelled from the university and they were not allowed to enter the university and VC was engaged in hiring new blue-eyed people who had not experience.
