'US must realise Pak problems'

LAHORE Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan has said the water issue is a serious problem of the day for the Pakistani Community. The world, including United States, should understand the problems faced by Pakistan and must try sincerely for their solution. The nation will never compromise against the interests of the country. Economic solidarity cannot be achieved without the proper solution of scarcity of water, he said, while addressing the session 'Remedies of Cancer arranged by the Radiology Department at the King Edward Medical University here on Tuesday. He said the masses of the Province were fortunate enough to have a dynamic and energetic leadership in the form of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, who was leaving no store unturned to serve the nation. The CM is working day and night to provide medical facilities at government hospitals according to international standards. We will the make the KEMU as an ideal one, he added. The Speaker further said the CM was taking keen interest towards in education. He further said the youth had much talent. However, it must be utilized in a proper direction, and the students must pay full attention to their studies, he said, while asking doctors should be very polite in dealing with the patients. He further said proper steps be taken to fight with the different crises faced by the nation. He emphasised that we must take immediate steps to get rid of power scarcity, unemployment and poverty. Earlier a scholar of world fame Dr Sarvat Hussain delivered a very informative lecture on Remedies of Cancer. Vice Chancellor KEMU Prof. Dr. Zafarullah Khan also spoke on the occasion.
