KUWAIT CITY- An opposition member on Wednesday presented in the Kuwaiti parliament a bill proposing capital punishment for anyone using derogatory language against Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and wives or Ahle Bait. Mr JamaanHerbish came up with the legislation to discourage anyone from insulting the holy Prophet (PBUH) or his family members. The law is expected to be passed by an overwhelming majority because both the treasury and the opposition benches support it. Only a few lawmakers are opposed to the bill because of their sectarian beliefs.
