NEW YORK: Emma Stone is reportedly in talks to play Sally Bowles in a Broadway revival of Cabaret. According to the New York Times, Alan Cumming will reprise his part as the Emcee in early 2014.The Wrap suggests that Stone is in the frame to take the role previously played by Liza Minnelli, Natasha Richardson, Judi Dench and others. Composer John Kander has said that The Roundabout Theatre is planning the revival at Studio 54. Should Stone win the role, it will be her debut on Broadway. As a child actress, she was a member of the Valley Youth Theatre inPhoenix,Arizona, where she starred in several productions.–GN
