Govt economic policies set country on road to progress

LAHORE - The PML-N government’s comprehensive economic policies would set the country on the road to progress.
“The economic indicators are positive and the growth scale is moving on the right direction. The country’s trade stature will be enhanced under the premier flagship of the present government,” observed the PML-N Traders Wing Lahore President Nasir Saeed. He said that strengthened Pak rupee against US dollar was big achievement of the government, adding that finance minister Ishaq Dar deserves credit for this landmark achievement. Pakistan would become an Asian Tiger under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif.  To a question, the trade leader said that the PML-N traders wing will play a role of bridging gap between the business community and his party.
He said that the PML-N led government believes in serving masses and all promises made by party leadership during the election campaign were being fulfilled gradually.  Nasir Saeed said that the present government is focusing to uplift the economic sector and is making all out efforts to foster economic prosperity in the country. With the completion of the ongoing energy sector projects in due course of time will help in expediting the economic pace.  He said that the grant of GSP + status by EU to Pakistan has been a great success of the present government and our exporters have the opportunity to explore the markets of the European countries.  He said that the impressive selling of bonds to the tune of $2 billion by Pakistan has spawned a number of economic benefits, the major being boosting the confidence of investors. Quoting an example, Nasir Saeed said the World Bank did not approve any loan for Pakistan during last five years. However, due to positive development in economy during tenure of present regime, the Bank has now approved a loan of $1.7 billion for different projects.
