LAHORE - Grain (Anaj) Stock Exchange system will be introduced in Punjab under a phased programme.PML-N leader and Member Punjab Assemlby Mohsin Latif said this talking to APP here on Sunday.  He said that the system is being introduced on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to facilitate farming community.  He said that the Chief Minister had also issued instructions for devising digital monitoring system for the entire process of wheat procurement in the province.
He said that an effective system has already been in place for prompt redressal of the complaints of farmers.  Mohsin Latif said that a committee has already been constituted to review the wheat procurement campaign on daily basis.
The report of the committee is submitted to the chief minister for prompt decisions to protect the interests of the farmers. He said that the CM has issued instructions for taking strict action against the persons guilty of involving any type of malpractice during the process of wheat procurement.  The PML-N leader said that this year’s wheat procurement campaign is much faster as compared to previous years.  Bardana distribution and other arrangements are better this year as compared to previous years, he explained.
