LAHORE - The former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar called on PTI chairman Imran Khan at latter’s Zaman Park residence here as both discussed constitutional matters.

Though there was no official word available after the meeting, sources said that the PTI chairman sought legal opinion of the former chief justice on the Lahore High Court decision about administering oath to Chief Minister-elect Hamza Shahbaz Sharif.

The LHC on Wednesday directed Punjab Governor Omer Sarfraz Cheema to administer oath to Hamza Shahbaz by tomorrow (Thursday) or nominate someone else for the purpose.

The meeting incited some interesting comments from the PML-N leaders who took jibes at the PTI chief and the former judge who met in the background of a constitutional crisis in Punjab which is mainly the creation of the PTI.

Senior Vice-president of the PML-N Maryam Nawaz Sharif took to twitter and termed it a meeting between a person who issued a fake certificate of “Sadiq and Ameen” to a person who was a liar. In her tweet, Maryam, also observed that two sacred words of “truthfulness and trust” got tainted [by ex-CJ’s verdict in favor of Khan].

Interior Minister Rana Sana Ullah described the meeting held between an actor of new Pakistan and the so-called builder of a dam. “One has eaten away Tosha Khan while the other is not accounting for the donations he collected for the dam”, he observed.

The PML-N suspects a collusion between Imran Khan and Saqib Nisar since the days when latter was the chief justice of Pakistan. As a proof of it, the PML-N presents an audio clip of the former CJ in which he can be heard passing on instructions to a judge to put the deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter in jail.
