ISLAMABAD - Mian Raza Rabbani, Chairman of Special Parliamentary Committee for Constitutional Reforms has said that the nation would soon hear good news about repealing 17th Amendment and Article 58 (2)-b from the Constitution. Raza Rabbani said this while talking to the media persons on Thursday after the meeting of the committee. He said that the committee meeting continued for more than three hours in which 108 recommendations were reviewed in detail. He said that constitutional reforms issue was a complicated matter and they were developing consensus. He said that positive results of the meeting would come out soon. Answering a question, Rabbani said that differences certainly existed but they have to review the issue from all angles. When asked about the timeframe, he did not give any time in this regard. Maulana Fazlur Rehman, SM Zafar, Ishaq Dar, Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, Wasim Sajjad, Dr Abdul Malik, Professor Khursheed, Abdul Rahim, Afrasiyab Khattak, Abdul Razaak Thaheem, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Munir Khan Orkazi, Pervez Ashraf and others participated in the meeting. The Parliamentary Committee for Constitutional Reforms will meet again today (Friday).
