Addl secy reviews Haj arrangements

FAISALABAD - The first special Haj flight from Faisalabad Airport to Jeddah will depart on October 4. About 2,710 intended pilgrims will travel through special 12 flights of Boeing 767 fleet, said Additional Secretary to Ministry of Religious Affairs Muhammad Arshad Bhatti.
He was holding a meeting at the Commissioner Office to review the security arrangements and provision of lodging and boarding facilities to the intended pilgrims at Faisalabad Airport as well at the Haji Camp.
Acting Commissioner and DCO Naseem Sadiq, Director Haj Saeed Ahmad, members of Haj Committee Muhammad Munir, Mehmood Alam Jatt and Ehsan Shahid, Haji Camp In-charge Tariq Mehmood, SSP (Operations) Sadiq Ali Dogar, SSP (Special Branch) Muhammad Shahnawaz, DHQ Hospital Faisalabad Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Arif Ali, officers of Rescue 1122, Customs, ASF, Civil Aviation Authority, Shaheen Air International and other relevant officers of district administration were also present.
The additional secretary appreciated the arrangements made in the Faisalabad Haji Camp last year.
He said that all the necessary arrangements for Haj operation 2012 in the Cooperative College Sargodha Road would be completed before time.
He said that security arrangements would be finalised from every angle in the Haji camp and the traffic management, maintenance of hygienic atmosphere and service of quality meals to the intended pilgrims would be assured. 
He directed the representatives of Shaheen Air International to arrange more countres for the intended pilgrims so that they would be facilitated to every possible extent. 
The acting commissioner informed the meeting that the under-construction Haji Camp at Narwala Road Faisalabad comprising 23 kanals will be completed by January 2013.
