Former U.S. Attorney General William Ramsey Clark and Federal Minister Farooq Sattar terming the imprisonment of Dr. Aafia Suddiqui a tragedy said that the government should immediately play its role for her release.

Talking to media on arrival at the airport here in Islamabad on Tuesday, William Ramsey Clarke said that Aafia Siddiqui’s trial was not correct, Aafia is a mother and a daughter---justice demands that Aafia Siddiqui should immediately be released---Pakistan should raise this issue, he suggested.

Earlier, the activists of Aafia Siddiqui release movement warmly welcomed William Ramsey Clark on his arrival at the airport.

Federal Minister Farooq Sattar present at the airport said it was in the air that if the government of Pakistan could write a letter, then the U.S. would consider to free Dr. Aafia and added if they wish let them not write any other letter, but there was no hitch in writing a letter for the release of Dr. Aafia.
