District Police Officer Muhammad Zubair has dismissed two constables on the charge of extorting bribe from a villager.

Ataullah of village Mian Reheeman had submitted an application to the DPO that he was on his way to native village on his bike when constables Muhammad Mushtaq and Muhammad Usman intercepted him and extracted Rs300 from him as illegal gratification. After an inquiry, the allegation was proved correct thus the DPO dismissed the cops forthwith.

ROLE FOR EDUCATION SOUGHT: Expressing his dissatisfaction over the steps taken by the officers of Education Department in connection with Education Emergency Programme, District Coordination Office Mansoor Qadir has warned the officers of Education Department that in future no leniency would be shown towards the officers showing unsatisfactory results.

Chairing a meeting of the Education Department held, he said all departments particularly officials of education department and members of the civil society should play their role to eliminate illiteracy and ignorance. The EDO Education assured the DCO that 5,000 kids would be enrolled by the end of the current month and the concerned officers would spare no pain in making this programme, a big success.

STIPENDS: District Zakat and Ushr Committee Hafizabad has issued checques worth Rs6,750,000 for distribution as stipend to the students of Vocational Training Institutes of Hafizabad, Kolo Tarar, Sukheke and Pindi Bhattian.
