A villager of Thatha Lodika was issued electricity bill for the current month despite the fact that no electricity meter has so far been installed at his house.

Hafiz Shabbir Ahmad had applied for electricity connection for his residence and deposited the demand notice amount of March 5, 2014 but the connection has not yet been installed in his house. Due to inefficiency of the “efficient officials” he has been issued bill for the current month showing consumption of 40 units. He has demanded action against the concerned officials.

ROBBERY: A local journalist and educationist of Hafizabad was deprived of his bike, cash and cell phone by two armed bandits near Canal Garden.

The police have registered a case but failed to arrest any of the accused. Farqullah Bashir Gujjar was on way to Sagar Rest House.

Near Canal Garden, two armed bandits intercepted him and snatched away his bike (SDP-3862), cash amount of Rs15,000/- and cell phone at pistol point.

ELECTION: Malik Muhammad Zaman Awan and Muhammad Iqbal were elected chairman and secretary general of Gepco Division Office Hafizabad respectively.

The other elected office-bearers were: patron-in-Chief Ch. Abdul Rasheed Gujjar, Vice Chairman Mumtaz Ahmad and Joint Secretary Abdul Hameed.

All the office-bearers were elected unopposed. Newly-elected Chairman assured the employees that he would work for their welfare.
