Roots projects peace

LAHORE : More than ten A-level students from Roots DHA1 joined Hamza Farrukh, a Roots alumni who has been selected as one of the 127 US-wide recipients of the Davis Peace Prize in implementing his project on eliminating Water Crisis and Conflict that aims to ensure sustainable clean water provision to a small village near Chakwal.
The first phase of the project involved speaking with locals and understanding their problems. The second phase involves constructing a solar water pump. These students have become ambassadors for clean water provision. Apart from the hands-on volunteer experience, they received a certificate of participation.
Hamza is currently a 4th year student at Williams College where 1he is majoring in Economics and Political Science with a concentration in Leadership Studies. He spent his junior year studying away at Exeter College, University of Oxford where he undertook the world-renowned PPE coursework for a year.–PR
