ISLAMABAD - Opposition Leader Syed Khursheed Shah on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should not resign on the demands of Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri and National Assembly should also complete its tenure.

"This will not be a welcoming tradition, as parliament has already supported PM Sharif...National Assembly should complete it tenure," said Shah while talking to media persons.

About demands of protesting parties, Shah said all the demands will be seen in accordance with law and constitution. "If the PM resigns in present situation, no prime minister will be able to work smoothly," he added.

To a question about formation of judicial commission, he said a five-member judicial commission should thoroughly probe the allegations of rigging. "If these allegations are proved, the government should resign itself," he added.

About the efforts of negotiations with PAT and PTI, he said opposition parties are making all-out efforts to establish contacts to resolve the issue. The government is also making efforts to politically resolve the crisis, he added.
