LAHORE - Why the ruling family has made huge investments abroad if Pakistan has been made secure for foreign investors, questioned JI chief Sirajul Haq yesterday.

He was commenting over the prime minister’s statement during Saarc Finance Ministers’ moot that Pakistan has been made secure for foreign investors.

Talking to the media after chairing JI youth wing function at Mansoora, Sirajul Haq said that Nawaz Sharif should bring his wealth lying abroad for investment back to the country if he is really sincere to the nation.

“Jamaat-e-Islami is pursuing a war against corruption and it would adopt the legal path in the course of its struggle to bring all under the process of accountability including PM Nawaz Sharif,” the JI amir told the media.

“It is a common view now that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is evading the process of accountability. “It is the moral duty of the prime minister to offer himself for accountability after the Panama Leaks,” he added. He also called for an audit of the loans obtained by the rulers from the IMF and World Bank for development projects.
