KARACHI - Pak Sarzameen Party leader Mustafa Kamal stated on Saturday that he was not glad after seeing the Muttahida Qaumi Movement offices being razed, adding that the people themselves will demolish structures named after the MQM chief.

Addressing a press conference, Kamal said that Mohajir community does not consider the MQM chief as its leader. He said that the daughters of the community had to appear in courts because of the MQM chief further stating that the party chief was responsible for tarnishing the community s image.

Mustafa Kamal enquired from the government that what measures were made against the MQM chief after he made his anti-Pakistan speech. He added that the United Kingdom (UK) would never take action against the MQM chief as the Pakistani government itself depended on the UK. He said that there was no difference between the MQM and the party chief.

Referring to MQM leader Farooq Sattar, Kamal said that Sattar should tell the truth to the nation. "Have you (Sattar) not seen the files? Don’t you know that funding (of MQM) is being done by the RAW?" Kamal enquired from Sattar during his media address. He stated that if Sattar cannot speak the truth then he should stop telling lies as well and have mercy on the Mohajir community.

Kamal said that the MQM chief was able to deceive the community by exploiting its deprivations and further questioned that were any problems solved by making the MQM chief as a leader. He added that not a single university has been founded in the urban areas since the past 30 years. He said that it was important to heal the wounds of the community along with flattening MQM’s offices.

He requested the federal and provincial governments to provide the youth of Mohajir community with dignified employments and said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah should announce special packages in order to address the deprivations of the community. "

Issues will not be solved by arresting MQM’s female workers," he said.

The PSP leader further said that Karachi’s garbage issues were still not addressed despite the orders of the Sindh CM on the matter. He stated that although the PSP did not have mandate but it was not possible for the party to silently observe all the developments being made.

He announced to hold a massive protest demonstration against Altaf Hussain outside the residence of British Prime Minister in London on Sunday (today). He said his party will stage a protest at 10 Downing Street against MQM chief for raising anti-Pakistan slogans.

MQM issue will be exposed soon: Khurshid

Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khurshid Shah on Saturday said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) issue would be exposed in eight to ten days as the party members have disowned their leader Altaf Hussain.

While inspecting a development project in Sukkur, he said that they have to agree on a fact that Farooq Sattar is running the MQM Pakistan. He said that India is playing games with Pakistan which needed to get answered by media. Khurshid Shah said that Kashmir issue has been raised in various ways in Karachi but the other provincial issues always lessen the importance of Kashmir problem.

Talking about the situation of Sukkur, the minister said that city’s sewerage issue can be resolved by dividing it into four parts but the project would cost three to four billion rupees. He assured that development plans are underway in Sukkur as SIUT, women university, cancer hospital, Arts College and Sardar Ghulam Muhammad Khan Mahar Medical College are under construction while water purification plan is also in the list.

The opposition leader inspected the cleanliness situation in the area and said that no negligence in this connection would be tolerated.
