KARACHI A fabricated charge of blasphemy against Dr. Noushad Ahmed Villani has been resolved peacefully in Hyderabad in the presence of doctors, advocates and leaders of various religious organisations. The case was baseless against Dr. Noushad Ahmed Villani, fabricated by a medical representative of a local pharmaceutical company, namely M Faizan. These views were expressed by President Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Centre Dr Hadi Bukhsh Jatoi, while talking to The Nation on Monday. PMA Sindh Chapter has demanded a local pharmaceutical company to terminate its medical representative who fabricated charge of blasphemy against Dr. Noushad Ahmed Villani in Hyderabad. Dr Samrina Hashmi, a senior leader of PMA, told The Nation that PMA has written an official letter to high-ups of the said pharmaceutical company, demanding the termination of the medical representative who misused the blasphemy law against the senior doctor, just to attain his business goals. In the letter, the PMA has demanded the company to take strict action against the said medical representative, she said and added that Dr. Noushad was wrongly accused, beaten and arrested on fabricated charges of blasphemy due to criminal intention of M Faizan. It is pertinent to mention here that Dr. Noushad Ahmed Villani was arrested earlier following a complaint by a medical representative, namely M Faizan, who visited the doctor in Hyderabad. Faizan told Police officials that Dr Villani threw his business card, which had his full name, Muhammad Faizan, in a dustbin during a visit to his clinic.
