LAHORE Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials seized a heavy quantity of gold which was being smuggled abroad illegally from Lahore Airport, said spokesman of FIA on Monday. The subject case was of very high profile and was also a special report case as an Operation Gold. In this case three mobile phones were handed over to Rizwan Sabir Forensic Expert-II, FIA NR3C, Lahore which was recovered from the accused persons of the subject case for forensic analysis. Rizwan Sabir returned two mobile sets (Black Barry Bold) but one mobile set (Nokia E-71) China made was not returned by the officer to the investigation officer in spite of the facts that it was the case property in the subject high profile case. Meanwhile, FIA registered another case at Anti Human Trafficking Centre (AHTC) Lahore against passenger namely Tariq Mehmood s/o Muhamnad Ashraf (real name Tanveer Akhtar s/o Muhammad Nazir) and Khalid Hussain Head Constable (Punjab Police) Lahore. The passenger Tanveer Akhtar was offloaded by Immigration Staff FIA Lahore who was trying to proceed to London through PK-787 on Monday on a Photo Changed Passport.
