LAHORE - PML-Q has assured Tehrik Namoos-i-Risalat (TNR) of its support on Tehriks call of shutter down strike on 31st against the proposed amendments in Blasphemy Law. This assurance came after a meeting between PML-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and JUP president and TNR convener Dr Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair at residence of the formers on Monday. JUP senior leaders including Pir Ijaz Hashmi, Sahibzada Saeed, Qari Zawar, Dr Javed and Rasheed Rizvi accompanied Dr Abul Khair. Chaudhry Shujaat said PML-Q would not let the government to make any amendment in the Blasphemy Law and foil any step in this regard. He assured the visiting JUP delegation that PML-Q would fully participate in TNRs sponsored strike call and public meeting on January 9 in Karachi next year. He claimed PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif was playing the role of friendly opposition and PML-Q was not going to form a government in Punjab along with PPP, as PML-N and PPP were running coalition governments in the province and centre. The PML-Q chief said amending the Blasphemy Law would be opening of a new pandora box, which no force could control. He alleged that Nawaz Sharif was in estranged mood with every political force including MQM, as the PML-N chief thinks that he could grab any constituency on the base of his self-proclaimed popularity graph. Chaudhry Shujaat said PML-Q would not support any move to dislodge the government, as results of such actions always damaged the democracy. The TNR convener on this occasion claimed that PML-N had merged into PPP, while a third force was emerging in the country to counter PML-N and PPP. He said that TNR-sponsored movement would compel the rulers not to amend the Blasphemy Law, while they would not let the rulers to implement the 'ghost of enlightened moderation in an Islamic state.
