KARACHI Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister on Information and Archives Ms Sharmila Farooqui said on Monday that launch of Benazir Bhutto Mobile Banking in Larkana by President Asif Ali Zardari will bring a new era of development and ensure larger women empowerment. The Benazir Mobile Banking is being introduced in four districts of Pakistan including Larkana, Layyah, Batagram and Musakhel. The Benazir Mobile Banking card will provide facility of women protection & rescue, and it will also enable the users to register a complaint in this regard, she said in a statement. The advisor said this mobile phone would provide every kind of product and promote E-banking in the country, while women will get major access to banking systems for the first time in the history of Pakistan. With the launch of this baking system, the President has fulfilled another promise made with the masses for their development, she said. She said the registered beneficiaries would be given free mobiles by mobile companies in collaboration with private banks along with 300 free minutes and Rs100 free balance. She said the beneficiaries would be able to know whether their cash grant has arrived or not while they could also get other details on regular basis. The advisor said Mobile Banking System will facilitate beneficiaries and also ensure complete transparency in the disbursement of cash grant.
