GARHI KHUDA BUX (Agencies) Several political leaders of different parties paid respects to former Benazir Bhutto Shaheed on her third death anniversary on Monday. Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also reached his hometown to participate in the third martyrdom anniversary of great mother, as thousand of PPP workers and BBs admirers thronged Garhi with a clear unease over the fact that her assassins had not been captured so far. The top PPP leaders who were in Garhi included Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Qamar Zaman Kaira and Makhdoom Amin Fahim along with other federal ministers besides provisional ministers and parliamentarians. A MQM delegation headed by Sindh Minister Raza Haroon visited her tomb where he laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha for the departed soul. During a quick chat with journalists, Raza Haroon said Shaheed BB was undoubtedly an international leader who sacrificed her life for Pakistan. We will continue the struggle for achieving her goals and manifesto along with President Asif Ali Zardari, he said while promising not to spare the killers of BB at any cost.On the other hand, thousands of PPP activists encircled Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza and his cabinet colleague Agha Siraj Durrani, Minister for Local Bodies, inside mausoleum of Benazir Bhutto, chanting slogans We do not want Roti, Kapra or Makan, and only want the murderers of Benazir Bhutto. Hundreds of Jiyalas, the nickname associated with the diehard PPP workers, besieged the provincial ministers and started raising slogans to remind them that the assassins of Benazir Bhutto were still at large. Some of them with tears in their eyes said, This is third anniversary of Benazir Bhutto but her killers have not been arrested so far. For Gods sake Capture them. We need nothing other than the arrest of assassins. Mirza while consoling these activists said the day was not far when the murderers would be arrested. Talking to journalists, he said he knew who the killers and mastermind behind Benazir Bhuttos assassination were, adding that Benazir Bhuttos son, Bilawal Bhutto, had been made aware of these developments and after consultations, all the details of the case would be made public. Mirza also said Interior Minister Rehman Malik was responsible for briefing Bilawal about the investigations on Sunday; however, he was unable to do that because of certain reasons. He said significant headway had been made in the investigation into assassination, adding that the letter given to the martyred leader would also be made part of investigation and her murderers would be brought to justice. Similar, views were expressed by Interior Minister Rehman Malik who said every aspect of the investigation had been completed. He told journalists that the PPP leadership had promised with the nation and the party workers that a thorough investigation into the murder of Shaheed leader would be conducted which was executed by very professional officers. We have credible evidence who was involved in the conspiracy and some people are already arrested, he said. Rehman termed her assassination as not a loss to the Pakistan people but also to the whole world. Meanwhile, Secretary Information Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Fauzia Wahab during a chat with media said no one would be allowed to destabilise democracy in the country, adding that democracy was a result of untiring efforts by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. She said investigation into BBs assassination had been almost completed and the report would be presented in the upcoming CEC meeting after obtaining further tangible proves. To pay homage to the assassinated national leader, Quran Khawani was held at her mausoleum as thousands of people from all parts of the country gathered in remem0brance of Shaheed BB amid strict security arrangements.
