GUJRANWALA - Five more people were fell prey to the 'poisonous' cough syrup here on Thursday, taking the death toll to seven in couple of days while another affectee has been referred to Lahore in critical condition.
As per detail, the 'deadly' syrup is still available in medical stores of the city and as many as ten affected persons have been brought to DHQ hospital on Thursday. Muhammad Wasim of Shaheenabad and Muhammad Nadeem died in DHQ Hospital while Arshad Ali of Kotli Pir Ahmad Shah and Jaffer Ali of Mohallah Shaukatabad died while were being brought to hospital. Muhammad Anees of Garjakh, Muhammad Anwar of Mujahid Town, Iqbal, a resident of SIE-1, Abdul Manan of Daska, Nadeem from Qila Dedar Singh, Babar of Farid Town, Pervaiz of Popular Colony, Amjad and Muhammad Shafique, a resident of Alam Chowk were admitted in the hospital.
It is to be noted here that Munir and Bilal lost their lives after taking the killer syrup the other day.
