PESHAWAR - Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has awarded Peshawar police cop for his excellent performance in a car-lifting case.

According to details, a few days ago the vehicle of an Army Colonel was lifted in Lahore by unknown thieves. This message was passed on wireless control to the KP police on which the police posted on police posts were made alert.

On very next day, a Sub Inspector Abdul Wali Khan in Mattani area stopped a suspicious vehicle at the check point and asked for documents.

The driver failed to satisfy the cop on which the vehicle was taken into police custody and the accused was arrested.

Later, the cop informed the colonel to come to Peshawar for receiving his lifted vehicle. The colonel reached Peshawar where he was handed over the vehicle.

At the award giving ceremony, IGP Nasir gave a cash prize of Rs 10000 and commendation certificate.
