KARACHI - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Farooq H Naek on Sunday said that he had consultations with former president Asif Ali Zardari about the legal aspects of the extension in Rangers’ powers in Sindh but there was no decision to move courts as yet.

The issue of the extension in Rangers’ powers is yet to be resolved between Sindh and federal governments. Farooq Naek arrived in Dubai upon PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s invitation and discussed the extension in detail.

In a TV interview, Farooq Naek said that the meeting discussed the legal aspects of the extension in power given to Rangers in Sindh. He told that Zardari was briefed about the legal options available regarding the extension. He said that the consultations have been made but no decision has yet been reached to move court against the extension. He said that he also discussed other political, legal and administrative matters with Zardari during the meeting.
