Quinsy on killing spree

LAHORE - Three more children died of deadly quinsy disease in different cities of Punjab on Sunday after which death toll during the current month has mounted to 37.
According to provincial health department source, three children affected with quinsy and under treatment at Children Hospital Lahore and Allied Hospital Faisalabad expired on Sunday. With recent death overall toll in Punjab during month of December has reached to 37.
Sources said that Lahore
and Faisalabad were affected most with the deadly disease where 14 and 13 children respectively became victim.
Despite death of 77 children in Punjab during ongoing year, provincial health authorities have failed to take concrete measures to overcome the disease and save the precious lives. The victim families have demanded Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif take notice of the deaths and a campaign should be launched against outspread.
