LAHORE: The Sindh Assembly’s resolution for curtailment of Rangers powers has been challenged in Supreme Court (SC), Lahore registry.

The petition was filed by Barrister Zafar Ullah taking the plea that Sindh government had no mandate to curtail powers of Rangers and situation in Karachi and Sindh, could be improved only by giving full powers to Rangers. He pleaded that the Sindh government has taken unconstitutional steps by curtailing Rnagers’ power, to save corrupt elements. The step taken by the Sindh Assembly for curtailing Rangers powers should be set aside, the petitioner prayed.
