Housing scheme co-owned by PTI’s Aleem Khan declared illegal

islamabad - Islamabad High Court on Wednesday maintained the Capital Development Authority decision to declare Park View City Housing Scheme as illegal for not meeting the required criteria.

Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurengzaib of the IHC announced the judgment and dismissed petition of the housing society challenging the CDA decision. The petitioner had stated that the CDA had unlawfully declared the society as illegal and had requested the court to declare the CDA decision as null and void. 

The CDA had declared development in the mentioned housing scheme unauthorised and warned the general public against investing in it through an advertisement in September. The housing scheme comprises 1,067.9 kanals of land at Malot Road in Zone-IV, co-owned by PTI’s Abdul Aleem Khan along with his wife and two others.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi police Wednesday arrested four house owners and tenants for not providing data to the relevant police stations in violation of renting laws. Civil Line police in a raid arrested Riaz, Yasir, Arslan and Suleman who had no proper documentation. According to the police, cases had been registered against the arrested persons.

 under the Punjab Information of Temporary Residence Ordinance 2015. Under the ordinance, details of new tenants should be provided to the police within 24 hours of giving possession of the property.
