CM Punjab Int’l Squash C’ship commences

LAHORE   -   The Chief Minister Punjab International Squash Championship commenced here at the Punjab Suqash Complex on Monday. The championship is being participated by 32 players from across the country with prize money of $6,000 for the winners. On the opening day, 16 matches were decided and the winning players moved into the next round. In the matches played on the opening day, Tayyab Aslam outsmarted Haseeb Taj 3-0, M Ashab Irfan thumped M Azlan Khawar 3-0, M Farhan routed Malik Abdul Moiz 3-0. In other matches, Waqar Mehboob outpaced Farhan Zaman, Zahir Shah outplayed Bilal Zakir, Salman Saleem overwhelmed Khushal Riaz, Abdul Qadir defeated Naveed Rehman, Mehran Javed beat Emad Farid, Israr Ahmed defeated Fayyaz, Hamza Sharif trounced Usman Nadeem, Saeed Abdul toppled M Uzair, Noor Zaman edged out M Ibrahim Noorani and Asim Khan outlasted Mian Adal Ghani.
