LAHORE - A delegation of Quami Tajar Ittehad, Punjab led by its President Haji Javed Akbar Butt met the Inspector General Police, Punjab Khawaja Khalid Farooq at his office here on Friday. According to a police handout, while talking to the IGP, the delegation said that keeping in view the well-being of the country and difficulty of the people, the traders will continue their business activities across the province. They said that all markets and bazars remained opened as usual. The delegation demanded of the IGP to provide full protection to the business community so that they could continue their business without any fear. They further demanded that if any body forced them to close their shops and business activity, strict action should be taken against him. The IGP assured the delegation that police would provide full protection to the traders and their business adding that strict action would be taken against those found involved in ransacking or forcing the traders to close their shops. Khawaja Khalid Farooq said that all the RPOs have been directed to ensure full protection to life and property of the people and nobody should be allowed to disturb the law and order.
