9 kill, 29 injured in two separate traffic accidents

At least nine people were killed including two students of school and 29 sustained injuries in two separate traffic accidents in Mandi Bahauddin and Shaikhupura road on Monday morning. According to media reports, first incident was held near Shaikhupura where seven people were killed in collision between passenger van and oil tanker. Resultantly, seven passengers were killed on the spot including four Police constables who were identified as Waqas, Mansoor, Sohail and Asad and 16 people were wounded. As per Police Officials, passenger van was leading to Farooqabad and the incident occurred at Sargodha road near Jamka due to the driver negligence when he lost his control over steering and hit the Oil tanker which was coming from opposite side. Police and rescue teams rushed at the spot and shifted the wounded to Mao Hospital Lahore. Police took in custody both vehicles, however the driver of Oil tanker escaped from the scene. On the other side, two students were killed and 13 were wounded in collision between two school buses in Manochak suburb area Mandi Bahauddin. As per district administration, a speedy school bus hit the other school van, which was carrying the dozens school students for dropping them to their schools. As a result, two students lost their lives on the spot and 13 received serious injuries in the accident. Rescue teams rushed at the accident place and shifted the injured students to Tehsil Phalia hospital where some students are said to be in critical condition.
