Former fast bowler Sarfaraz Nawaz while commenting on Pakistan and Sri Lanka match has said that 11 runs victory over hosts proved that Pakistan will prove tough opponents in the remaining World Cup matches. He said that at one stage looked that Sri Lanka will win the match but increase in run rates put them under pressure and they succumbed to pressure. He praised skipper Afridi captaincy and said that he bowled well in this match as well and got four wickets. He stated that this win will boost team's morale and would also help in coming matches. He said that Afridi decision after winning the toss and batting first proved good for the team as Pakistan set 278 victory target for Sri Lankans. He added that if Pak players succeeded in utilising the batting power play in a good manner then score may be over 300 runs but team failed to utilise the opportunity. He also praised Shoaib Akhtar for his good bowling and said that Rawalpindi Express gaining momentum and bowling fast and his fitness was also looking much better. He said that team displayed poor fielding and need improvement which will be crucial for the future matches. He also appreciated senior players Younus Khan and Misbahul Haq for their good batting and their partnership which gathered 108 runs for Pakistan. He said that two partnerships were registered from Sri Lanka one between openers Tharanga and Dilshan (76 runs) and the other between Sangakkara and Chamara Silva (73).
