LAHORE The Saturdays hailstorm, light rain and windy conditions helped the Citys temperature on Sunday to come further low. It also maintained, especially in the evening, the chill in the Punjab metropolis. According to weather pundits, the City will receive more rain during the current week, as a fresh wave lies over Afghanistan that will affect parts of Pakistan in coming days. On Sunday, maximum and minimum temperature in the City was recorded 22.4 degree Celsius and 7.5 C respectively. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded 75 percent which decreased to 44 percent in the evening. Major parks and picnic spots attracted a large number of people including women and children in the afternoon. Huge rush was witnessed at Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Racecourse Park, Bagh-e-Jinnah, Jallo Park, Lahore Zoo and other picnic spots in the City. Traffic jams were witnessed in the close vicinity of these picnic spots to extra vehicular load. Local meteorological department has forecast partly cloudy weather for the City during the next 24 hours. On Sunday, Murree received 17 mm rain, Pattan 14 mm, Sialkot 10 mm, Mangla 09 mm, Jhelum 08 mm, Muzaffarabad 04 mm, Islamabad, Chakwal and Mirkhani 02 mm each, Quetta, Mandi Bahauddin and Kakul 01 mm each while Balakot, D I Khan and Peshawar received traces of rain.
