KARACHI - Jamaat-e-Islami leader Dr Fareed Paracha said that stability of the country was linked with law and order situation of Karachi and the JI would not left the citizens on the mercy of terrorists.

He was talking to JI office-bearers during his visit to Idara-e-Noorul Haq here on Wednesday.

He said that absence of Army personnel in voters’ verification process had paved way for pre-poll rigging before elections and the core aim of holding train march was to compel the Election Commission to ensure transparent polls in Karachi.

“Undemocratic approach was being witnessed during the voters’ verification process without Army personnel despite several protests launched by different political and religious parties to express their reservation over said verification of electoral rolls,” he added.

He further said the electoral process in the City should not be hijacked by a political party, adding free and fair election should imperative to restore lasting peace in Karachi.

Earlier, JI Karachi chief Hussain Mehanti briefed JI leader Dr Fareed Paracha about arrangements being made for Train March.

He also brief about steps being taken by different political and religious parties over rectification of voters’ list.

CPSP: College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan on Wednesday announced to hold its 6th National Examination Oriented Theory/Clinical course through video conference facility across the country for IMM, MCPS and FCPS candidates of obstetrics and gynecology.   

Course Coordinator Dr Saima Chaudhry sharing details of the programme said it will be held from May 2 to 11 and advised the intending course participants to get themselves registered for the course by April 29.

The course will be simultaneously held at Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Multan and Hyderabad regional centres of CPSP.

Salient features of the course will include theoretical perspectives, recent advances; all important clinical cases; demonstration of skills for TOACS and mock TOACS examination.
