LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Wednesday travelled on Metro Bus and reviewed provision of travelling facilities to the passengers.
The CM was accompanied by Asian Development Bank Country Director Werner Liepach. The chief minister stood in the queue, like an ordinary traveler, and got his token at Ittefaq Bus Station. Due to heavy rush in the bus, the chief minister travelled while standing, from Ittefaq Station to Yadgar Chowk.
Travelers expressed surprised over finding the chief minister amongst them. They congratulated the chief minister over initiation of metro bus service. They told the chief minister that he should also solve the electricity problem, upon which he replied, if Allah gives another opportunity, the electricity system would also be improved.
Shahbaz said people had expressed their confidence in metro bus service, while the number of travelers had now reached over more than one lakh 30 thousand passengers.
The Asian Development Bank country director said he enjoyed travelling on metro bus, which was a great transport project made for the convenience of the people, besides being a splendid achievement of the Punjab government.
