RAWALPINDI - Rawal Town Administration (RTA) has imposed ban on placement of tyres and their sale in open places and roads as a part of its anti-dengue fever campaign.  RTA through notices has warned the shopkeepers against placement and sale of open tyres on roads saying that they will have to face stern action in case of any violation of ban orders. Administrator Saif Anwar Jappa have directed the shop keepers not to place the tyres on roof tops of their shops and open places as they turn into breeding sites for dengue fever specific mosquitoes due to presence of still water therein.
The administrator has directed the concerned officials to take into possession the tyres found lying in open places besides registering cases against violators of ban orders.
