KHANEWAL - DCO Nadeem Mehboob said that he wanted to transform Khanewal into a model in the Punjab province.

He said that development programmes worth billions of rupees were near completion across the district.

He said that district government was establishing new public parks, green belts and planting trees on both sides of the roads to provide the residents with recreational facilities and healthy atmosphere. DCO expressed these views in a meeting with a delegation of senior journalists here the other day. He added that following the vision of the Punjab CM, education and health projects were underway and most of them were in final stages of completion. He said that Rs4 million had been allocated for the City Park project that was in its final stage, while improvement work of Yousaf Park and Fazal Park Landscape was also underway. The DCO urged the journalists to identify the problems and irregularities in the district. He said that no compromise will be made on quality of the projects.
