ISLAMABAD - Chairperson HEC Dr Javaid R Laghari has said that under Post-Doctoral Fellowship Programme of Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistani scholars are acquiring new technologies and knowledge from academically advanced countries.
According to a press release, the Chairperson HEC remarked that as per program, Pakistani researchers are contributing for the socio-economic development of the country through practical application of knowledge and techniques.
Around 507 scholars have successfully completed their Post Doc studies and joined their parent organizations. So far, around 563 Pakistani researchers of public sector R&D organization holding PhD degrees have been provided opportunity to work at leading higher education institutions and state-of-the-art laboratories of academically advanced countries.
The scholars have worked in multifarious fields of biotechnology, food sciences, animal nutrition, bio chemistry, nano technology, plasma physics, cell biology, civil & environmental engineering, fisheries, pharmaceutical chemistry, high energy physics, leadership, culture & social preferences, geophysics, mathematics, computer sciences, business education, social sciences, humanities, environmental sciences and other disciplines.
