The district government have been allocated Rs5 million for the up gradation of local Stadium on a par with international standard. DCO Ali Jaan disclosed this while chairing a meeting here on Thursday.

The traders’ community representatives Ali Abid, Sh Sajid, Ghulam Mustafa, Dr Tahir Javed Hashmi, Saghir Ahmad, Mian Asif and others attended the meeting and appreciated the district administration endeavours and assured to extend all possible cooperation in this regard.

The DCO said that the ground and pitches would be prepared under the supervision of experts equal to the international level stadium, where T-20, One Day international matches could be held in local stadium. Moreover, all essential facilities to the teams as well as spectators would be provided, he added. He said that to maintain security measures CCTV cameras would also be installed in entrance and exit on main gates.

Later, the DCO in his briefing to local media told that the CCB had been finalised to look after the development work of the stadium. The main road surrounding the stadium would also be carpeted, he said, adding that besides installing beautiful streetlights, green belts, car parking and two-wheeler stands including public toilets would also be constructed, the DCO maintained.
