Bahawalpur - Under the special direction of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, Punjab Council of the Arts Bahawalpur Division for Punjab Talent Hunt Program 2020-21 at district level in Bahawalnagar district organised singing, instrument singing, poetry, story writing and painting competitions. More than 90 men, women and students between the ages of 15 and 35 from all over the district took part in the event and performed their art to the best of their ability. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalnagar Shoaib Khan Jadoon said that thanks to these competitions new talent had emerged which was a reflection of the fact that our youth were second to none in their abilities. He said that this initiative of the Punjab government would promote the arts and provide the best possible leisure to our youth. Director Bahawalpur Arts Council Muhammad Zubair Rabbani said that the region was very fertile in terms of fine arts. Our artists, singers, artists and others had made a name for themselves and the region nationally and internationally. He said that this platform had given an opportunity to those who were skilled in every field to express their art and skills which would ignite their talents. Muhammad Afzal Jahangir, Shoaib Asim, Nasir Mahmood, Zafar Dehlavi, Jamil Parwana, Nawaz Ali, Dr. Rabb Nawaz Kaush, Amanullah Arshad and Sohail Ahmed performed the duties of judges in these competitions in a very professional manner.
According to the results, Muhammad Ramzan came first, Arsalan Riaz second and Hassan Ali third in the singing competition. Khalid Abbas, Ali Abbas and Ali Adnan won first, second and third positions respectively in the singing instrument competition. In the poetry competition, Arsha Anjum Bukhari came first, Syeda Umm Nabin second and Sajida Batool third. According to the storytelling judges, Syeda Umm Al-Nabin won the competition, while Sabra Nawaz and Nimrah Nawaz won the second and third positions respectively. According to the results of the painting competition, Mohammad Ramzan I, Mohammad Kamran II and Atiya Aslam won the third position. All these competitions were held at Government Campus Hansu School Bahawalnagar where Deputy Director Arts Council Bahawalpur Akasha Rasool, Assistant Director Malik Zakaullah, Assistant Director Mehjabeen Tahir, Deputy Chief Executive Officer District Education Authority Shahida Hafeez, Director Islamia University Bahawal Nagar Campus Dr. Rafaqat, Deputy Registrar Zafar Abbas, Assistant Commissioner Bahawalnagar Munawar Hussain Magsi, Deputy District Education Officer Fauzia Bukhari, Principal Government Compri Hansu School Bahawal Nagar Shaan Muhammad, MSDHQ Bahawal Nagar Waheed Afsar Bajwa, Staff Officer to Deputy Commissioner Bahawal Nagar Asif Rasool and other elders of the city attended in large numbers and appreciated the initiative of the Punjab government.Ayesha Murtaza, Mudassar Maqbool, Amara and Kashmala Kaleem officiated the function.
